CPR: Behind the Scenes Day – 11th March

Behind the Scenes Day: Ever wondered what it is like to run a heritage railway or volunteer at a heritage railway? Come on down on Saturday the 11th of March to find out.

We will be allowing visitors to come and see what we do when not running our public events. Talk to the guys and girls actually doing the jobs, it takes all sorts, from laying and maintaining track, to maintaining the locos, building new coaches, running the cafe, gardening, and planning our events for the coming season. Believe it or not, one of the most important jobs is actually cutting the grass so we can still find the rails in summer!

We need volunteers for all the departments listed above, there will be opportunities to look at and talk about everything we do to keep the show on the road.
